Tourist visit to Vina Belje should be commences in the vineyards. The Outlook (Vidikovac) on Banovo Brdo (Banovo Hill) is surrounded with millions of vines and it is a true place to relax and enjoy seeing fertile vineyards and the Croatian Danube region. It is easily reachable by a wine road meandering through the vineyards all the way up the new winery located in the heart of 630s hectares of Belje vineyards. A winery tour starts with a presentation in the Wine Salon after which we take a walk to the winery where hand-picking and state-of-the-art technology are married and Belje wines born! In Kneževi Vineyards we can see where the wines are growing up.
A tasting room and vinotheque are an entry point to the cellar that was mentioned as early as 1526 in descriptions of Battle of Mohács. Downstairs in the cellar, Premium and Goldberg ranges of wine age in wooden barrels before being dispatched to the world or at least to the nearby Kormoran Restaurant in the protected park of nature Kopački Rit, which is a museum of the best food available in Baranja region. Delicacies made from carps, catfish or zander from Drava or Dunav River and their tributaries, ‘čobanac’ (which is Croatian equivalent of boeuf bourguignon) and game would be perfectly matched by the best whites and reds from Vina Belje.
