Exposition: Karanačko brdo, planted in 1993, altitude 190 metres. Rows are oriented East/West. Soil is loess, with a relatively shallow A horizon.
Harvest and Growth Cycle of Grapevines
Grapes were harvested from September 10 to 20, 2011. A vegetative cycle of grapevines in 2011 was characterized by relatively warm spring and exceptionally dry and hot summer. In these circumstances top qualities bunches developed.
After harvest was done by hand, grapes were chilled. We pressed whole bunches and fermentation in Inox tanks on 15 degrees Celsius and ageing on lees (sur lie method) for 3 months without malolactic fermentation.
It can be enjoyed now or kept for 3 years.
The wine has deep green-yellow colour and aromas of ripe fruits, primarily ripe apricot and nuts. On the nose it is intensive, fruit aroma with hints of nuts. Wine has powerful and rich body, it is elegant and fresh. It is in superb condition, ready for serving or cellaring. In a nutshell, it is a rich and noble wine. To be served chilled at 10 to 12 degrees Celsius. Matching food includes white meat, pasta and fish. Alcohol is 13.9%.
