Fermentation together with maceration in Inox fermentation vats lasted for 8 to 10 days, malolactic fermentation in tanks. Ageing for 6 to 10 months was in large oak barrels.
It can be enjoyed now or kept. The wine shall continue its development in the bottle for minimum 5 years.
Wine has very deep ruby colour which immediately points to a great wine. On the nose there is deep fruitiness with a hint of cooked fruits and marmalade. Wine is harmonious, powerful, with smooth yet ripe tannins, savory and well balanced. Wine is elegant and ready for cellaring. To be served at 18 to 20 degrees Celsius. Matching food includes red meat, steak, game, Slavonian sausages and Kulen (a local fermented sausage) but also powerful ripe cheeses. Alcohol is 15.8%.
